- Criminal-history transcripts: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Records Department
- State conviction inquiries: use Illinois State Police CHIRP
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case
